WINNERS!
Agility and Innovation Award: Due to a screw boss being out of specification, a cross-functional team identified the potential risk of a customer line shutdown. This team, comprising Liam Hallen, Henry Zoumanigui, Carol Casto, Josh Greer, John Moore, Joe Freeman, Monica Molitor, Ryan Molitor, and Crystal Suarez, demonstrated unwavering commitment over a weekend fine-tuning, developing quality specification checks, and conducting hourly inspections to ensure our parts met the required drawing specifications. Their dedicated efforts significantly contributed to Nifco being the supplier of choice for our customers.
Engineering Award: Brian Riggs with his water flow testing has helped Nifco become better. We can now check water flow in our tools which in turn lets our molds run with optimum performance.
Leadership Award: Gerardo Cardenas stepped into the Molding manager role in January 2024. His leadership has motivated this team to focus on Nifco‘s target and has achieved a first-ever 90% OEE in the U21 area.
Kaizen Award: As a team, Fernando Dominguez, Amy Johnson, and Coral Alvidrez collaborated with a customer to transfer products. This advancement has resulted in cost savings without impacting the customer. Their success is a model in customer negotiation and management.

Intern Spotlight: Meet Wyatt!
Wyatt wraps up his senior year of high school and @prossercareers to set his sights on a new adventure at @jefferson_jctc, where he`ll be diving into the world of machining while continuing his impactful work with Nifco. 🔧
Wyatt`s journey is an exemplification of Nifco`s purpose. He`s been an integral part of our team, showcasing his talent in the @skillsusa – Automation Technology program. His hard work paid off as his team won gold, earning them a spot to compete at Nationals in Atlanta! 🏅
In the Automation Technology competition, Wyatt and his team are tasked with recreating an aluminum metal object in 3 hours by creating professional drawings, designing CAD models, writing programs, and milling into the metal parts with precision. Their proficiency in replicating a part has been a standout attribute, showcasing the ability to work within tight tolerances of 0.001 of an inch. Let`s rally behind him and his team on their journey to nationals!
